Iran: Crude Oil Shortage Means U.S. Can’t Achieve Target Of Zero Export By Iran

Unic Press UK: The United States will not achieve its mission of using sanctions to cause zero crude oil export by the Islamic republic of Iran, says Iran’s OPEC Governor Hossein Kazempour Ardebili.

Ardebili said there is supply shortage, and “there is no spare capacity anywhere,” the Reuters News Agency reports.

In a speech delivered at a gathering of the academics of universities, the Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri had expressed a similar opinion, saying that: “The US is attempting to bring Iran’s oil sales to zero by imposing banking and transportation restrictions, and the administration, despite all the difficulties and hardships, is seeking solutions to quash their [US] plans. . . that the US will bring Iran’s oil exports to zero is an irrelevant statement,” the Iranian oil ministry’s news service Shana reported.

At a point this week the price of crude oil was $80 a barrel.
