Unic Press UK: The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) intercepted/seized a cache of arms, which was craftily hidden in a Mack-made truck with registration number BDG 265 XG. The truck was conveying a 1x40ft’ Container with Number PONU/825914/3 along Mile 2 Apapa road, Lagos, said the Comptroller-General of Customs Hameed Ibrahim Ali.
Three suspects were arrested in connection with the seized weapons:
- Mr. Oscan Okafor (Importer) age 51.
- Mr. Mahmud Hassan (Clearing Agent) age 56.
- Mr. Sadique Mustapha (accompanying the consignment to its destination) age 28.
The NCS published the names/images of some its personnel who had been declared wanted over the illegal importation of arms.
