Landmark University was established by the Living Faith Church World Wide – a christian denomination – led by David Oyedepo. The University says it is committed to:
“raising a new generation of solution providers through the covenant channels of inspiration; an army of young people who will be committed to solving local problems and by extension commanding global influence.”
It was in 2011 that the University was granted approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run undergraduate courses in various fields, including Agriculture, Engineering, Business and Social Science.
Currently, the University has three departments in its College of Agriculture, viz:
- Agricultural Extension and Economics
- Animal Science
- Crop and Soil Sciences
