Labour Party National Chairman Sue Arise Television For Defamation

Unic Press UK: The chairman of the Labour Party in Nigeria, Comrade Julius Abure, has filed a case in the High Court against Arise Television alleging defamation; and praying the Court to award ₦150,000,000.00 damages.

The case registered as Suit No: B/35/2023 was filed on 18th January 2023 in the High Court in Edo State by his Abure’s legal counsel President Aigbokhan, Esq.

In a new release Thursday, the Labour Party threw more light on the case, saying that it centres on a television programme on 11 December 2022 that featured the party’s former National Publicity Secretary; and another television show on 8 January 2023 with one Miss Agho Blessing in attendance as the interviewee.

It was during both programmes that the Arise Television allowed its platform/facilities to serve as a tool or medium to defame/disparage my hard earned reputation, Abure alleges.
