Russia And Donbass Regions – DPR And LPR – Sign Treaties On Friendship

Unic Press UK: Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Head of State of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, and the leader of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic Leonid Ivanovich Pasechnik have signed treaties on friendship, business, cooperation, and mutual aid.

At a ceremony held in the Kremlin’s St. Catherine Hall followed Moscow’s official recognition of the two self-declared breakaway Donbass Regions – Donetsk (DPR) & Lugansk (LPR) People’s Republics – in Ukraine’s eastern side as sovereign nations.

Speaking earlier as he recognised the two self-proclaimed Republics, President Putin said: “I deem it necessary to make a decision that should have been made a long time ago to immediately recognize the Donetsk (DPR) and Lugansk (LPR) People’s Republics,” RT reports.

President Putin accused the Ukrainian Government of failing to keep the 2014 Minsk agreements, saying that the Ukrainian authorities are not interested in peaceful solutions – “they want to start Blitzkreig” – because they have been amassing troops in the Donbass Regions hoping to drag their allies into a conflict with Russia.
