2020 Election: SCOTUS Declines To Hear Texas Mega Lawsuit On Election Irregularities

Unic Press UK: Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) on Friday ruled against further proceedings in a lawsuit filed by the State of Texas against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the States’ of Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin.

The Attorney General of the State of Texas, Ken Paxton, in the lawsuit filed on Tuesday, 8 December, alleged a gross violation of federal and state election laws cum unlawful enacting last-minute changes that skewed the results of the 2020 General Election. In a 154-page document ‘MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE BILL OF COMPLAINT’ the State of Texas said: “… the 2020 election suffered from significant and unconstitutional irregularities in the Defendant States…”

However, the case was ended abruptly in a terse order of the High Court: “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections,” a majority of the Justices said.
