Unic Press UK: U.S. president Donald Trump might lose “@POTUS” Twitter handle on 20 January 2020, the date his first term of office would officially end.
“Twitter is actively preparing to support the transition of White House institutional Twitter accounts on January 20th, 2021,” said Twitter spokesperson Nick Pacilio in a statement Friday.
The Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden is the projected winner of the U.S. Presidential Election 2020, though the electors have yet to vote and the states have not certified the election results.
President Trump has not conceded. He claims to have won the presidential election by landslide. The president’s team has filed a series of cases in court, alleging electoral irregularities/fraud.
