Unic Press UK: United States president Donald Trump has fired Defense Secretary, Mark Esper.
In a tweet, President Trump said: “I am pleased to announce that Christopher C. Miller, the highly respected Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (unanimously confirmed by the Senate), will be Acting Secretary of Defense, effective immediately. Chris will do a GREAT job! Mark Esper has been terminated. I would like to thank him for his service.”

House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has reacted to the sacking of Mark Esper, describing the president’s decision as “abrupt” and “disturbing”. She said: “”The abrupt firing of Secretary Esper is disturbing evidence that President Trump is intent on using his final days in office to sow chaos in our American Democracy and around the world.”
It remains on unclear the motive behind the Democrats position that Joe Biden is the president-elect when the count in many states – Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada and several others – is being disputed. In fact the Republican Party has filed loads of cases challenging the ballot count. Besides, there are no certificates of votes from the states; and the legal election process from voting through certification and parliamentary approval has yet to run its course.
