President Donald Trump’s position has always been that there’s no evidence that the Russian Government or Russians influenced the election that brought him to power. In a tweet January 2017, he said Hillary Clinton lost the U.S. Presidential Election 2016 not due to any Russia involvement, rather her poor campaign strategy.

On the Hillary Clinton email palaver that has yet to be buried, the issue dates back to when WikiLeaks published thousands of emails allegedly stolen from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. After an investigation, the FBI Director at the time James Comey said in July 2016 that Mrs Clinton was “extremely careless” in handling classified information while Secretary of State.
