Unic Press UK: The Nigerian government spent ₦8.94 trillion ($23.29 billion) on petroleum products’ subsidy from 2006 to 2015.
In a statement Monday, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) disclosed that the total amount in the period covers monies paid to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and several marketers of petroleum products, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
