Centers for Disease Control And Prevention (CDC) Adds 6 New Symptoms Of COVID-19

Unic Press UK: United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has increased the number of probable symptoms of COVID-19 with the addition of six more, the ABC News reports.

COVID-19 symptoms, which may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus known as SARS-CoV-2 are:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

Prior to making this review, only fever, cough and shortness of breath were considered as possible symptoms of COVID-19 by the CDC.


More than 200,000 people across the world have died from COVID-19, and there are almost 3,000,000 confirmed SARS-CoV-2 carriers as at 25 April.

  • Confirmed Cases: 2.9 million
  • Deaths: 0.2 million
  • Recovered: 0.8 million

In the U.S., there are more than 950,000 confirmed cases, and more than 54,000 deaths. In the United Kingdom, the figures are circa 150,000 confirmed cases with more than 20,300 deaths.
