
Unic Press UK: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran said, for the first time, it successfully launched/placed into the orbit a military satellite, the Press TV reports.
“The satellite’s successful launch enhanced new aspects of the Islamic Republic’s defensive might. By God’s grace, the Corps turned into a space force today,” said IRGC Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami.
This first military satellite of the Iranians named Nour (Light)-1, a multi-purpose satellite, was placed into the orbit circa 425 kilometers above Earth’s surface on Wednesday, 22 April.
