Abba Kyari, Chief Of Staff To Nigeria President, Buried In Abuja

Unic Press UK: The Chief of Staff to Nigerian President, Abba Kyari, who died Friday, 17 April 2020, was buried Saturday at Gudu cemetery situated in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

In a statement yesterday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President
(Media & Publicity), Garba Shehu, said the burial of Kyari is the end the ceremonies marking his demise and “there will be no condolence visits to family and the Presidency”.

“As advised by the protocols put in place by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the Federal Ministry of Health on social distancing, the burial marks the end of all ceremonies and there will be no condolence visits to family and the Presidency. Well-wishers and all other Nigerians are instead advised to pray for the repose of the soul of the late Chief of Staff. A condolence register will be opened at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) from Sunday for those who are able to use the window permitted for movement by the FCT administration.”

Kyari, a lawyer by profession, had served as the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari from 27 August 2015 to 17 April 2020 when he joined his deceased ancestors due to death from COVID-19.
