COVID-19: Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, Discharged From St Thomas’ Hospital

Unic Press UK: UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has been discharged from the St Thomas’ hospital after battling COVID-19, and would continue a recovery regime at Chequers.

Boris, who was admitted at the St Thomas’ hospital on 6 April, did stay for three nights in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the initial stage, prior to being moved into a ward on Thursday, and later discharged today.

In a statement today, Downing Street said:

“The PM has been discharged from hospital to continue his recovery, at Chequers. On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work. He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas’ for the brilliant care he has received. All of his thoughts are with those affected by this illness.”

The Prime Minister has expressed profound appreciation to the National Health Service (NHS) for their care when he contracted COVID-19, describing the health service of the country as the best.
