Unic Press UK: Nigeria Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, says there’s a need to urgently intensify public enlightenment on coronavirus to reach the gamut of Nigeria such that a much more percentage of the populace would become aware of the current/critical situation [health crisis] around the world.
According to Laolu Akande, the Vice President’s Senior Special Assistant for Media & Publicity, Osinbajo made this call during a meeting, via video conference, of the NEC Special Committee on COVID-19, which had seven governors’ in attendance.
The Vice President’s spokesman also confirmed that the NEC Committee had received the report of its Technical Working Group, which considered several policy options on how the three tiers of government could alleviate the adverse effects of this virus pandemic.

As at 20:00 GMT Wednesday, there are 174 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, with 2 confirmed dead.
