Unic Press UK: An Italian, who returned to his workplace Nigeria from Milan on 25 February 2020, is the first to test positive for coronavirus, the Lagos State Government said in a statement.
The patient, who is being treated in Lagos, is in a stable condition, says the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Coronavirus (COVID-19), which originated in Wuhan, China, has been contracted by more than 80,000 people in circa 50 countries.
A report Saturday morning by the Chinese authorities is that the total number of COVID-19 infections in the Hubei Province – the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak – climbed to 66,337, with 28,895 recovered and 2,727 dead.
