Unic Press UK: In South Africa, Judge Dhaya Pillay of the Pietermaritzburg High Court issued Tuesday a suspended warrant for the arrest of a former South Africa president Jacob Zuma, who is facing charges of corruption, bribery, and money laundering, the SowetanLIVE reports.
The warrant for the arrest of Mr Zuma might be executed if he fails to appear in court on 6 May 2020 when the matter comes up. “A warrant for accused 1 Mr Zuma is issued, but stayed until 6 May 2020, the date on which the matter will resume,” Judge Pillay ruled on Tuesday.
Jacob Zuma, a South African politician, was the President of South Africa from the 9 May 2009 to 14 February 2018.
