Unic Press UK: Following a terror attack at circa 14:00 hrs on Sunday, 2 February, in which, two people were stabbed in Streatham High Road, Lambeth, and another injured, a team of armed officers in a Counter Terrorism operation shot/killed a male suspect, the Metropolitan Police announced.
The three victims have been taken to hospitals. “One man is being treated as life-threatening, one woman has non-life threatening injuries and another woman has minor injuries”, the Met Police said in a statement.
Though the situation has been contained, and the incident declared as an Islamist-related terror attack, the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command would carry out further investigation.
The Police said it appreciates the members of the public who assisted its officers and ambulance staff, and has appealed for restraint and common sense in circulating pictures/videos of the incident – including images of the police/armed officers involved and of the victims.
