Boeing 737 Airplane Crashes In Iran With About 176 Passengers Feared Dead

Unic Press UK: A Ukrainian passenger airplane flight No. PS752, a Boeing 737 series, crashed Wednesday morning in Iran shortly after take-off from an international airport situated south of the Iranian capital city, Tehran, and no survivors have been found, the Press TV reports.

A senior public relations official at the Imam Khomeini International Airport, Ali Khashani said the Ukrainian airplane is operated by the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), and was heading towards Kiev before it crashed in Parand, a city in the Robat Karim County, Tehran Province, Iran.

The initial information from the Iranian government is that the passenger airplane has a technical glitch soon after take-off, claiming that eye witnesses support its preliminary observation.

This horrific accident happened a few hours after Iran had attacked two U.S. military bases in Iraq with a barrage of missiles, thereby provoking speculation that one of the missiles might have struck a passenger airplane in error.
