Turkey Vows To Stand With Libya

Unic Press UK: The Republic of Turkey says it would stand with the State of Libya until there’s peace and security in the land of Libya, the Anadolu Agency reports.

Speaking Sunday during the ceremonies of the New Type Submarine Project at the Golcuk Naval Shipyard Command in the northwestern Kocaeli province, Turkey Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar said:

Turkey will continue to stand with its Libyan brothers exactly like it does in Syria until peace and security are ensured, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Sunday.

Speaking at the ceremonies of the New Type Submarine Project at the Golcuk Naval Shipyard Command in the northwestern Kocaeli province, Akar made a reference to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on security and military cooperation with Libya, and said: “We will continue our activities within the scope of security and military cooperation with Libya and our deep-rooted historical, cultural and economic ties.”

Akar’s remarks follow the two separate MoUs inked by Ankara and Tripoli on military cooperation and maritime boundaries.
