Unic Press UK: A Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Benjamin Uwajumogu (APC – Imo North Senatorial Zone) is dead. He died on Wednesday morning in Abuja.
Mr Uwajumogu, 51-year-old, was the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015. Prior to his death, he was the Senate committee chairman for labour and employment.
In a message on the Senator’s death, the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said: “Senator Uwajumogu dedicated his life to service, which eminently earned him the trust of the people of Okigwe zone in Imo State, who elected him to represent them first, in the State House of Assembly, where he served as Speaker, and later, in the Senate.”
