Unic Press UK: The United States President, Donald Trump said Tuesday on Twitter that the services of the country’s National Security Adviser, John Bolton, is no longer needed, and that he asked John to resign.
“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week”, President Trump tweeted.
Soon after Trump’s tweet, Bolton, who has been serving as the United States 27th National Security Advisor since April 9, 2018, issued a terse tweet, saying he had earlier offered to resign.
I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, "Let's talk about it tomorrow."
