Unic Press UK: The Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division, has dismissed the case in which three appellants submitted that President Muhammadu Buhari did possess the basic educational qualification to contest the Presidential Election 2019.
In a unanimous decision Friday, the three-member panel of the Court of Appeal, headed by Justice Atinuke Akomolafe-Wilson, upheld the ruling of the Federal High Court that the case is statute-barred having been filed in court out of the time stipulated by the law.
The counsel to the three appellants – Kalu Kalu Agu, Labaran Ismail, Hassy Jyari El-Kunis – Ukpai Ukairo had submitted that Buhari did not possess the required educational qualification to contest the Presidential Election 2019.
