Speaking on the shooting down of a U.S. drone, the commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command, Lt. Gen. Joseph Guastella said Iran’s action was an unprovoked attack, and “an attempt to disrupt our ability to monitor the area following recent threats to international shipping and free flow of commerce.” While U.S. President Donald Trump said “Iran made a very big mistake.”
