HQ Of Venezuelan Oil Firm, PDVSA Relocates To Moscow As Maduro Battle To Survive

Unic Press UK: The Venezuelan president, Nicholas Maduro has issued an order that the headquarters of the state-owned oil corporation, Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) should be relocated to the Russian Federation.

“President Maduro ordered to close the Lisbon office of PDVSA and move it to Moscow. It’s the perfect time, as we are reshaping our relations. We will purchase food and medicines necessary for our people from Russia, the Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said in Moscow during a joint news conference with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the RT reported.

The United States and several EU countries have since recognized Juan Guaido – the opposition leader that declared himself interim president on January 23, 2019 – as legitimate head of Venezuela, and handed over control of the Venezuelan assets to him (Guaido). And the Venezuelan government has alleged that the U.S. meddles in its affairs in hope of exploiting it and profiting from the country’s massive oil/gas reserves.

However, many countries, including Russia, Mexico, Turkey, China do not recognize Guaido, so still dealing with the elected president Nicholas Maduro.
