APC Suspends Okorocha, Amosun & 2 Others; Akeredolu To Be Served A Query

Unic Press UK: The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended the Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha and the Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun over anti-APC activities.

The other people suspended today over anti-party activities are the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani and the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu.

In its statement, the NWC of the APC said: This decision was reached on Friday at a meeting of the party’s NWC that was chaired by the APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The APC NWC added that it “reiterates that any member of our party who takes any action solely or in line with the directives of the suspended members to undermine our party’s candidates in the coming Governorship and the House of Assembly Elections would face disciplinary actions.”

It appears that the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu is the next in line for a sack letter having been served a query over what the party has described as “glaring anti-party activities, which greatly affected the fortunes of our candidates in the recently-conducted Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.”
