Unic Press UK: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria says it will not postpone the Nigeria General Election 2019, which is scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
Speaking Thursday during the National Stakeholders Forum, the INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu said:
INEC has been dragged to court… It is the policy of INEC to obey court orders. People ask if the judgements from these courts are decided close to elections if INEC will postpone the elections, INEC will not postpone any elections but we will make contingency arrangements in case some of the orders come close to elections.
Nigeria General Election 2019 would hold on Saturday, the 16th February 2019, from 08:00 A M (Lagos time).
