Iran Government Doesn’t Fear U.S. Threats: Rouhani

Unic Press UK: In his address Wednesday, during the weekly cabinet session of his government, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said there’s nothing to fear about the United States government threats.

Making a reference to the new U.S. sanctions, part of which would kick in on Sunday, November 4, Rouhani said:

“November 4 this year translates into a new instance of oppression by America. Our people need to rest assure that the government is not afraid of US threats. We are certain that the Americans will fail in their new plot, and that they are actually in gradual retreat. We tell them that ‘you will not reach any of your goals with regard to Iran’s oil sales. You will neither be able to bring it to zero nor reduce it”, the Press TV reported.

It was on May 8, 2018 that President Donald Trump inked an Executive Order, which ended the U.S. participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), claiming that deal was bad for the world and America, insisting that a new deal is long overdue and that fresh sanctions would be imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
