2019 Election: Atiku Would Defeat Buhari, Says Former Minister Of Transport

Unic Press UK: A former Minister of Transport and a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) member, Ebenezer Babatope, said that the party’s presidential candidate would win the 2019 Election.

Babatope, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by telephone, praised Atiku for his contributions to the nation, saying that the PDP candidate has the credentials, capacity and clout to defeat the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.

Babatope said: “Atiku is the new face of the PDP. It is time for the party to win back power because I am confident Atiku will win. My confidence is based on his political experience from being the founder of the PDM with late Yar’adua to being the Vice-President where he did very well. He also has national appeal as he is a detribalised Nigerian with successful businesses all over. He is a bridge builder, a man with great capacity and passion to lead. “Atiku is the next president. Our People want him. He will rescue Nigeria, I am so sure he will win,” the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Atiku Abubakar, 71-year-old former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and a former Nigerian Customs Service apparatchik, was elected the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on October 7 at the Adokiye Amesiamaka Stadium, Port Harcourt – the capital city of Rivers state of Nigeria. He garnered a massive 1,532 or 48.5% of the total valid votes at the presidential primary.
