Brett Kavanaugh Sworn In As U.S. Supreme Court Justice

Unic Press UK: After a thorny screening exercise, which was marred by unproven allegations of sexual misconduct against SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh, the United States Senate on Saturday confirmed Trump’s nominee Kavanaugh as a Justice of the Supreme Court with 50 votes in favor, 48 votes against.

Kavanaugh is viewed as one with a strong conservative disposition, and therefore a fit and proper person to uphold Trump’s seeming ‘agenda’ for a conservative approach at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Reacting to the confirmation of his nominee, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted: “I applaud and congratulate the U.S. Senate for confirming our GREAT NOMINEE, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, to the United States Supreme Court,” he tweeted. “Later today, I will sign his Commission of Appointment, and he will be officially sworn in. Very exciting!”
