Iran: We’ve Received New Trade Proposals From Europe

Unic Press UK: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said that Iran is in receipt of a European Union proposal that potentially meets the Islamic republic’s demand on trade in the light of United States withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and sanctions imposed by the U.S.

Speaking at a Press Briefing on Monday, Qassemi said: “The past proposals were partially unworkable, or lacked the necessary guarantees; we put them aside. Alternative proposals were made; and we’re looking for mechanisms that would enable [continued] economic cooperation between Iran and Europe [in the face of US restrictions],” the Press TV reports.

It was on May 8, 2018 that the United States withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was inked in 2015 by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the European Union and the P5+1 countries – China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, insisting that the deal was bad for the world and America, and demanding a new deal.
