Unic Press UK: The United States President Donald Trump said Friday on Twitter that the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo planned trip to the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea [North Korea] has been put on hold, citing “insufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”
I have asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo not to go to North Korea, at this time, because I feel we are not making sufficient progress with respect to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula…

…Additionally, because of our much tougher Trading stance with China, I do not believe they are helping with the process of denuclearization as they once were (despite the UN Sanctions which are in place)…

It was on June 2018 that a nuclear summit between the United States President and the Supreme Leader of the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK) was held on the island of Sentosa in Singapore. During the summit, the two leaders’ inked a document, and agreed on sustainable stability and peace on the Korean Peninsula; a complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula; an end to the joint war games on the Korean Peninsula between the U.S. and the Republic of South Koreans; and an enhanced relations between the two countries.
The current happenings indicates that what the leaders had agreed on June 2018 might not be actualized.
