Buhari Holds Meeting With Heads Of Law Enforcement Bodies

Unic Press UK: The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, today held a meeting with security bosses, given the spate of insecurity in the country.

Speaking to journalists’ after the meeting, the Chief of Defense Staff, Maj. Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin, said the current security situation was the primary issue discussed at the meeting.

“We just had two and half hour meeting with the President and Commander in Chief,  we reviewed the security situation across the country in all the geopolitical zones. All the operations were reviewed and all the issues concerning the operations were dealt with.”

Olonisakin said that President Buhari charged the security agencies to work harder towards ensuring the safety of lives and property in all parts of the country.

In attendance during the meeting were the Chief of Defense Staff, Major General Gabriel Olanishakin, the National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno, Defense Minister Mansur Dan-Ali, the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris and the Acting Director General of the Directorate of State Services, Mathew Seiyefa, the Chief of Army Staff Major General Tukur Buratai, and several others.
