Huawei Is World’s Second Largest Smartphone Manufacturer After Record Sales

Unic Press UK: Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) is now ranked the second largest smartphone manufacturer as its global market share jumped to 15.8% at the end of the first half of 2018.

In a statement today, Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, said:

“The past six months have been incredible for Huawei CBG, marked by robust growth of our business across all markets and product lines. Our success is owed to our commitment to innovation and, most importantly, our customers. Moving forward, Huawei will remain focused on continually improving our offerings with an emphasis on on-device AI, cloud and the wider Huawei ecosystem.”

The company’s global shipment of HUAWEI P20 Series (“fusing art and technology, the P20 Series”) is in excess of 9 million units; and the HUAWEI Mate 10 Series recorded a global shipment of over 10 million units.

There are now more than 50 million users of HUAWEI nova smartphones; meaning that this product recorded a 60 percent increase year-over-year. Huawei wearables recorded a remarkable 147 percent increase year-over-year.
