Unic Press UK: The People’s Republic of China has warned that it would take appropriate measures to protect its trade interest, urging the United States to act in line with the “joint statement on trade consultation”.
If the U.S. makes reckless moves on trade, China will take measures in response, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday, the Global Times reported. “We urge the US to keep its promises, and act in line with the spirit of the joint statement between China and the US,” China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Hua Chunying, said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
The Chinese government has raised serious concerns over the recent threats from the U.S. government to raise duties on a $50 billion list of Chinese goods.
