Unic Press UK: Former minister Obiageli Ezekwesili (popularly known as Oby) who is the convener of the BringBackOurGirls was detained for several hours today by the Nigerian Police Force, Abuja.
Ezekwesili and several members of the group were arrested during a planned rally today in Abuja.
The BringBackOurGirls group has been campaigning for the rescue of the remainder of the 276 girls’ who were abducted in Chibok, Borno State, on 14th April 2014, by a notorious Jihad terrorist group known as Boko Haram.
Obiageli Ezekwesili says her group will return tomorrow to continue with a peaceful protest over delays in rescuing the remainder of the abducted girls’.
The FG of President .@MBuhari instructed the IG of @PoliceNG to DETAIN ME AND OTHER MEMBERS of @BBOG_Nigeria here at the Unity Fountain. Police men and women have BUILT AN IMPREGNABLE WALL and LOCKED ME IN. I have asked them more than 30 times to LET ME OUT and they REFUSED.
