Unic Press UK: United States vice president Mike Pence on Sunday left the venue of a match [between Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers] early as several players on the opposing team reportedly knelt during the playing of the national anthem.
I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.

While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don't think it's too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem

President Trump tweeted that he actually asked the vice president to leave the stadium if any of the NFL players appeared to disrespect the country.
I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled, disrespecting our country. I am proud of him and @SecondLady Karen.

In the United States, taking a knee at a time the national anthem is being played is a way people express displeasure toward national authorities, especially the brutalities against minorities by the Police.
