Python Dance II: Nigerian Military Allegedly Attacks Supporters Of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu

Unic Press UK: The Nigerian military, currently on a mission nicknamed Python Dance in the South East region of Nigeria, is alleged to have caused mayhem on the streets where the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) resides.

A part of the reports from our field agents in Nigeria was that the Nigerian army in the course of a procession with armored personnel carriers on 10th September 2017, at circa 18:30 hrs, fired live ammunition in the area where IPOB leader lives, causing pandemonium and severe injuries on several innocent civilians.

OHANEZE NDIGBO BERATES APC, BUHARI GOVERNMENT

“The invasion of Nnamdi Kanu’s home is brazen show of military brigandage and shear prostitution of power without authority. It baffles me that solders are unleashed on a person that is peaceful and devoid of violence, while the gun trotting herdsmen are still on rampage in virtually every nook and cranny of Nigeria. It is a pity that the tenets of democracy are been bruised and battered with reckless impunity in Nigeria. The Operation python dance is a deliberate ploy to gag the South East like a conquered territory. There is no doubt any longer about the disposition and countenance of the APC led Federal Government on the Igbos.” (Ohaneze national publicity secretary, Uche Achi-Okpaga)

MILITARY DENIES ATTACKING ANYONE NEAR NNAMDI KANU HOME

In a statement the assistant director army public relations, Oyegoke Gbadamosi, denied that the Nigerian military had killed anyone, reports the News Agency of Nigeria.

Gbadamosi said:

“…it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State… The troops fired warning shots in the air and the hoodlums dispersed. No life was lost.’’

IPOBs PRESS RELEASE

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in a press release ‘Invading Kanu’s Home And Shooting IPOB Violates Our Human Right’ on 11th September 2017, which was signed by Head Directorate of State of Indigenous People of Biafra, Chika Edoziem, said:

“… The events of the past weeks which began with a purported nationwide address by Muhammadu Buhari giving the Nigerian Armed forces as well as other Nigerian murderous security agencies the green light to embark on a well-organized plan to seek out and murder in cold blood unarmed and nonviolent Biafran civilians is coming gradually to a climax judging from what took place today Sunday the 10th of September 2017 at the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. First, they attacked and shot unarmed Biafran civilians on the 4th of September at Isi Gate in Abia State Biafraland with many sustaining bullet wounds. Then on Friday the 8th of September they announced their operation python dance II against criminals, kidnappers and violent agitators in the South East as a smoke screen to give a sort of legal cover to their real intended plan to assassinate the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. Is it not ironical that just two days after announcing their operation python dance the first place the Nigerian Army went looking for their phantom criminals and kidnappers was the village of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra?… The international community must be alive to its responsibility now and call the Nigeria government to order by compelling it to desist from further harassment, secret abductions and killings of unarmed nonviolent Biafran civilians. We urge world leaders to impress upon the Nigerian government to respect the right of the Indigenous People of Biafra to Self-determination as stipulated by both the United Nations and African Union charters…”
