Mike Pence Denies 2020 Presidential Plot

Unic Press UK: United States Vice President Mike Pence has denied media reports that he is plotting to run in the U.S. 2020 presidential election, describing the report as “categorically false” and “disgraceful and offensive to me, my family and our entire team.”

Pence’s reaction relates to a publication ‘Republican Shadow Campaign for 2020 Takes Shape as Trump Doubts Grow’ by The New York Times on 5th August 2017, which claimed the he had positioned himself to contest the U.S. 2020 presidential election.

When she was asked about the reports that Mike Pence was interested in vying for presidency in 2020, the Counselor to President Trump, Kellyanne Conway said: having worked with Pence for ten years and currently working with him on a daily basis, it is absolutely true that the Vice President is getting ready for 2020 for re-election as Vice President.

“Most significant, multiple advisers to Mr. Pence have already intimated to party donors that he would plan to run if Mr. Trump did not… For his part, Mr. Pence is methodically establishing his own identity and bestowing personal touches on people who could pay dividends in the future”, the publication by The New York Times reads.
