When he was inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States on 20th January 2017, the U.S. “Total Public Debt Outstanding” was $19,947,304,555,212.49; but as of the 23rd February 2017, the debt had been reduced to $19,913,901,120,188.15, as illustrated on https://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP/debt/search?startMonth=01&startDay=20&startYear=2017&endMonth=02&endDay=25&endYear=2017
The U.S. president believes he is at a ‘war’ with a band within the mainstream media he had labeled “fake news”. He used the word war on 21st January 2017 at the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), when he said:
“So I can only say that I am with you 1000%. And the reason you’re my first stop is that as you know, I have a running war with the media. They are among the most dishonest human beings on Earth.”
Other comments by Trump, expressing disgust with the media, included:
FAKE NEWS media knowingly doesn't tell the truth. A great danger to our country. The failing @nytimes has become a joke. Likewise @CNN. Sad!

The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!

The fake news media is going crazy with their conspiracy theories and blind hatred. @MSNBC & @CNN are unwatchable. @foxandfriends is great!

The failing @nytimes does major FAKE NEWS China story saying "Mr.Xi has not spoken to Mr. Trump since Nov.14." We spoke at length yesterday!
