UN Condemns North Korea’s Ballistic Missile Launch

Unic Press UK: The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres reacted to the testing/firing of a missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Guterres strongly condemned the launch of a ballistic missile, urging the DPRK leadership to return to the path of denuclearization, the UN News Centre inked.

The United Nations Secretary-General firmly expressed that the launching of a ballistic missile by the DPRK remain a serious violation of the UN Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2321 (2016) that strengthened sanctions against Pyongyang.

The UN Security Council will today, behind closed doors, discuss North Korea’s ballistic missile launch.

A ballistic missile, which was fired on Sunday, the 12th February 2017, by the DPRK, flew circa 300 miles [500 km], ending its flight in the Sea of Japan.
