CIA Director Berates President-Elect Trump, Advises Him To Tame His Tougue

Unic Press UK: Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director, John Brennan warned the United States president-elect Donald Trump over spontaneous reaction to issues affecting the security of the United States. Brennan, who spoke to Fox News on Sunday, seems to conclude that Trump’s statements are often not the outcome of thorough thought.

On Trump’s seeming predilection towards the Russian president Vladimir Putin, Brennan said:

“I think Mr Trump has to understand that absolving Russia of various actions that it has taken in the past number of years is a road that he, I think, needs to be very, very careful about moving down”

Trump is a netizen, who often communicates to the public through his twitter account. Perhaps, this inspired more scathing remarks from Brennan:

“Spontaneity is not something that protects national security interests. So therefore when he speaks or when he reacts, just make sure he understands that the implications and impact on the United States could be profound. It’s more than just about Mr. Trump. It’s about the United States of America”

Last week, there was 35-page report “US Presidential Election: Republican Candidate Donald Trump’s Activities In Russia And Compromising Relationship With The Kremlin” written by a former British spy, stating that the Russians had a recording of the illicit acts of Trump at the time he was staying at a five-star hotel in Moscow.

In his typical/spontaneous reaction on twitter, Trump pilloried the U.S. intelligence, accusing them of dropping fake/unsubstantiated information in the public domain.

Brennan, who obviously had deep reservations for Trumps’s use of the derogatory term “Nazi Germany” in referring to the U.S. intelligence, said:

“There is no basis for Mr Trump to point fingers at the intelligence community for leaking information that was already available publicly. What I do find outrageous is equating the intelligence community with Nazi Germany. I do take great umbrage at that, and there is no basis for Mr. Trump to point fingers at the intelligence community for leaking information that was already available publicly”

Donald Trump will take oath of office on Friday, the 20th January 2017, making him the 45th President of the United States of America.
