Donald Trump On Possible Russian Sanctions: ‘We Ought To Get On With Our Lives’

The Washington Times: President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that “we ought to get on with our lives” when asked about the possibility of sanctioning Russia.

“I think we ought to get on with our lives,” Mr. Trump told reporters.

“I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what’s going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure you have the kind the security that you need,” he said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham said Wednesday that Russia, and in particular Russian President Vladimir Putin, can expect forthcoming sanctions in the wake of reports that the country actively interfered in the U.S. presidential election to boost Mr. Trump.

Mr. Trump has been skeptical of Russian involvement in the election. He said he didn’t know what Mr. Graham is doing and pointed out that the South Carolina senator ran against him in the 2016 GOP presidential primary.

“I have not spoken with the senators, and I certainly will be over a period of time,” Mr. Trump said. The Washington Times: President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that “we ought to get on with our lives” when asked about the possibility of sanctioning Russia.
