Nigeria Election 2019: Atiku Will Defeat Buhari In A “Free And Fair Election,” Says U.S. Opinion Research Firm

Unic Press UK: A top Opinion Research & Consulting firm in the United States has predicted that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar would win the Nigeria Presidential Election 2019  if the contest is “free and fair.”

According to this opinion research firm that has successfully analysed and predicted previous election outcomes, including the Nigeria Presidential Election 2015, its data confirm that the PDP and Atiku have well positioned in the final phase of the presidential campaign.

“In all scenarios we can conclude that within the 2.5% +/- margin of error Atiku wins to Buhari in a free and fair election. In any other country we would be advising the candidate to ‘put the champagne on ice’. Over half of the survey have an unfavorable opinion of Buhari and his unfavorable rating is 10 points higher than his favorable rating. Atiku’s ratings are significantly in the positive at 62% favorable. A majority (54%) of the population now believe that Atiku will be the next President – 42% more than those who think Buhari will win,” the Williams and Associates, a notable Opinion Research & Consulting wrote in its January 2019 report to the Atiku Campaign Organization.

The report further assessed the opinion of Nigerians on President Muhammadu Buhari, concluding that he [Buhari] is not well liked and his job performance are very weak. “Almost 65% of respondents say that Buhari does not deserve reelection based on his job performance whilst only just over one-third that he deserves reelection (36%).”

The experts assert that this analysis remains true of every demographic, including Muslim voters and Buhari’s traditional heartland, the NW. The assessment of the political climate also illustrates that the percentage of APC voters who think Atiku will be President is higher than PDP voters, which will play badly on APC turnout and positively impact on the PDP, causing a win for Atiku if a free and fair election is conducted.

Nigeria General Election 2019 would hold on Saturday, the 16th February 2019, from 08:00 A M (Lagos time).
