Jamal Khashoggi: Tunisians Protest Against Saudi Crown Prince Visit

Unic Press UK: The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, who arrived in the capital city of Tunisia yesterday – Tuesday – witnessed protests by hundreds of people over the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Reuters reported.

During the demonstrations against the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, the protesters marched through the central Habib Bourguiba avenue in Tunis, chanting “the murderer is not welcome in Tunisia. . . shame on Tunisia’s rulers.”

The crown prince has departed Tunisia, traveling to Argentina, where he would attend the G20 Summit.

By virtue of his position as the crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia de facto ruler. His image across the globe has been tarnished by the brutal murder of a journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

Turkish national authorities have repeatedly accused the Saudi Arabian government of killing Jamal Khashoggi, who had walked into the Saudi Arabian embassy in Istanbul on October 2, 2018 to carry out paperwork ahead of his marriage to a Turkish national, but did not exit the building thereafter.

Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, who recently censured the United States President Donald Trump over his utterances on the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, said that his country’s leadership does not believe that those who killed Khashoggi acted alone. During an interview, Cavusoglu said: “He was killed within seven minutes, it was premeditated murder,” the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reported Tuesday. Cavusoglu revealed that he had listened to the sound recordings that should prove the murder in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

After several weeks denying the allegations of murder, the Saudi government facing scathing condemnation by state actors and institutions suddenly confessed that Mr Jamal Khashoggi was indeed killed inside its consulate in Istanbul, saying that Khashoggi died during a fistfight.
