Unic Press UK: Following the kickoff of the campaign for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections, 2019, as per the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) election guidelines, the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari launched Sunday his campaign/bid for reelection.
Speaking at the official launch of the campaign at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where a manual ‘Next Level 2019’ of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was unveiled, Buhari said:
“I’m not unmindful that the National Assembly and the Presidential campaign starts today, I will employ candidates to go about the campaigns peacefully and decently. We have no other country, let us not set it ablaze because of politics. We are committed to deepening the work we started this first term such that the nation’s assets and resources continue to be organised and utilized to do good for the majority of our people. Our choices will shape us – our economic security and our future prosperity. We are implementing a blend of measures that ensures that justice, order, modernization and new economic paradigms emerge.”
Nigeria General Election 2019 would hold on Saturday, 16 February 2019, from 08:00 hrs (Lagos time).
