2019 General Election: Atikulated Network Urges Support For Atiku/Obi Ticket

Unic Press UK: A group, the Atikulated Network – also known as “Atikulated 9ja” – has vowed to use its contacts to mobilize 5 million voters from across the length and breadth of Nigeria to vote for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2019 presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

The position of the Atikulated Network was aired by its National Coordinator, Princess Angela Torkular during their courtesy call on the wife of Atiku Abubakar, Hajia Titi Abubakar.

“Beside every successful man, there is a woman, therefore, we decided to visit and rejoice with you on your husband’s victory during the PDP presidential primary election in Port Harcourt. As we speak, every State Coordinator has been mandated to evangelise Atiku Abubakar and mobilise. . . The group is networking with other support groups, political parties with like minds to penetrate every corner in Nigeria, to ensure victory for Atiku Abubakar and the PDP in 2019,” said Torkular, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

The presidential candidate Atiku, who is from Adamawa state in the North East region of Nigeria, had emerged as the PDP flag-bearer on October 7 with overwhelming support, winning with circa 50% of the total valid votes in the primary election.

Atiku Abubakar (L) and Peter Obi

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who’s running mate is a former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has been widely endorsed by many, including former Presidents and former Heads of State, notable publishers like The Economist, civil society organizations, and many religious leaders. Atiku/Obi are very successful entrepreneurs, who have been in government, and both quantities command overwhelming respect in Nigeria and beyond.

The opposition political parties see the incumbent President Buhari as overseeing a failed administration that has not redeemed its pre-election pledges, such as, wiping out the Boko Haram terrorist organization, providing full employment, tackling the Fulani herdsmen menace, improving health care, providing uninterrupted power supply.
