Unic Press UK: The United States President Donald Trump said that a major crisis would ravage the U.S. economy in the event that he is impeached.
In a Fox News interview that aired Thursday, Trump said: “If I ever got impeached, I think the market would crash. I think everybody would be very poor. Because without this thinking, you would, you would see numbers that you wouldn’t believe in reverse. I got rid of regulations. The tax cut was a tremendous thing. I don’t know how you can impeach somebody who’s done a great job.”
Trump’s remarks follow the calls for his impeachment by many after his former campaign chief Paul Manafort and his former personal attorney Michael Cohen were found guilty on Tuesday.
Manafort is guilty of bank fraud and making false income tax returns. Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations, and making to hush-money payments to women.
