Buhari-led APC Govt Has Lost Control Of Nigeria, Says APC Presidential Aspirant

Unic Press UK: A presidential aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) believes that ‘fail’ is the governance scorecard of the Buhari administration.

During an interview with Premium Times, Nigeria, published Sunday, the 29th July 2018, the APC presidential aspirant S K C Ogbonna, submitted that President Muhammadu Buhari squarely squandered the priceless goodwill on which he rode to power in 2015.

Ogbonna therefore advised Buhari to avoid seeking a second term of office; and accused several APC leaders of not only furtively acknowledging that President Buhari is “very weak and unpopular”, but consciously wishing that he (Buhari) exits the stage after his current tenure ending in 2019.

“The masses within APC do not like Buhari anymore, and I hope that their voices will be heard when the time comes. Truly, Buhari has performed far better than the PDP regimes of the past. But, by commission or omission, PMB has lost control of Nigeria. Of course, most of the big wigs in APC are aware that the president is very weak and unpopular and thus do not want him to seek second term.  Even some of these guys now grandstanding as PMB 2019 promoters, particularly the likes of El-Rufai, Rochas Okorocha, and Bola Tinubu, wish Buhari could step aside so they can take a shot at the presidency. President Buhari squandered the enormous goodwill because he came to power without the prerequisite knowledge about Nigerian leadership. The problem was exposed when he alienated the brains behind his victory and replaced them with primitive loyalists whose visions appear to belong to the stone age. This lack of knowledge was evident in his lopsided appointments and the critical confusions on how the rule of law and separation of power work in the presidential system,” he said.

What many Nigerians have acknowledged at the moment is that the top contenders to the elective office President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria seem to have fully emerged, and include:

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He’s one of the notable men who decamped from the APC after falling out with the presidency.
