London 2017: Justin Gatlin Won 100m Gold, Usain Bolt Takes Bronze

Unic Press UK: With a time of 9.92 seconds, the U.S. athlete Justin Gatlin has won the 100m Men’s Final at IAAF World Championships currently taking place in London.

The top three of the Men’s 100m final

1. Justin Gatlin, 35-years-old, 9.92 seconds. [He was previously banned twice for doping [drug-related offences].
2. Christian Coleman, 21-years-old, 9.94. [Coleman is currently the fastest man of 2017 after clocking 9.82 seconds at the NCAA Championships in Eugene on 7th June 2017].
3. Usain Bolt, 30-years-old, 9.95. [Today’s 100m was Bolt’s final individual race as he gets set for retirement after an awesome decade-long career in athletics].

Michael Johnson, a former athlete and a four-time Olympic gold medalist, said:

“I thought Bolt would be challenged but by Coleman not by Gatlin. Bolt was under pressure. He didn’t have to be here and you have to give him credit for putting himself out there and give people the chance to beat him. Two did beat him and I’m sure people are upset. I can guarantee you Bolt will not be upset. He is a competitor but he realises that life goes on.”
